Lorna Dziombak
New artist Lorna Dea, real name Lorna Dizimbak came to OD Hunte music and film productions with nothing more than a burning desire to move her career forward, talent, some previous cover demos and a budget. 6 weeks later she is ready to take her career to the next level with a package that looks as if it originated from a major label and only requires her to plug into a marketing machine and build her following..
THE PROCESS
After her initial email exchange and consultation with OD Hunte, Lorna decided to go for the 1MM (One Month Mega package) which included
3 x ORIGINAL MUSIC TRACKS
Lorna and OD discussed a direction and brief for Lorna's sound and decided on an organic retro but modern EP of classic mixed with modern elements. OD then produced the three original backing tracks prior to the three-day block booking session as Lorna was coming from Leeds and arranged for his topline writing team to be in with them on the three days.. The three day lockout went fantastically as planned and "Long Kiss Goodbye" was earmarked as the video track.
Having previously shot a video in Tenerife earlier in the year, OD knew shooting abroad could yield great results, differentiating the video from other UK videos as well as having budgetary advantages i.e. cheaper production costs than shooting in the UK and also better weather as a rule.
OD suggested Paris for it's classic architecture, relative easy of travel and the probability of good weather for the shoot. Lorna agreed and after finalising the preproduction details, OD and his team travelled to Paris for one day to shoot the video. The video shoot went like clockwork and OD then finished the video as shown below.

Youtube is one of the most influential music discovery platforms of our generation and as part of the development programme, OD helped Lorna choose 4 songs to cover acoustically with a professional guitarist.. OD liaised with the pair to organise prep before the day of the shoot and on the day had makeup/stylist and behind the scenes crew present to record the three camera multi-angle shoot..

Many Unsiged singers make the mistake of going to a cheap studio to record covers and are given a one or two take recording which rarely does them justice. Although this may be a good starting point to see if one has talent in most cases it doesn't portray the singer in a good light or give them a track which is anywhere near worth placing on iTunes for sale.
As part of the development package OD helped Lorna choose three songs by contemporary artist to cover, one of which was "Royals" by Lourde as can be heard below..

Selfies are cool. Really they are..Cool for instagram and to show your Facebook buddies but to launch an artists' career most artists need professional styling and a professional photoshoot..
As part of the package OD called up the services of both to deliver a new portfolio of photos for Lorna as well as more informal Behind the Scenes photos for both the Paris video shoot and the video covers shoot.
